Athens etwinners visit the Tsitsanis Museum in Trikala, central Greece

During our three-day trip in April, we had the chance to visit the Tsitanis Museum in the city of Trikala, central Greece. There we learned about the life and works of Vasilis Tsitsanis, one of the greatest composers of Rebetiko music (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage). The museum, which is located in the building of a former prison, offers exhibits and interactive activities through which one can (re)discover the deeply emotional music of Tsitsanis' "bouzouki"(=his musical instrument).
